Welcome!

Welcome to Stutter Squad
✨ Welcome to Stutter Squad Academy!
I created Stutter Squad Academy as an educational video series to help children who stutter gain a deeper understanding of stuttering—what it is, why it happens, and how to navigate it with confidence.
Through engaging videos and worksheets, students explore key topics such as:
- aspects of stuttering (“core behaviors” and “secondary behaviors”)
- brain differences
- feelings and attitudes about communication
- negative self-talk and cognitive distortions
- positive affirmations and growth mindset
- personal reflection and exploration of stuttering
- communication tools, goal setting, and self-advocacy
If you’re looking for a resource that goes beyond traditional fluency strategies and encourages understanding, confidence, and self-acceptance, this program is for you!
👦👧 Who It’s For
The program is designed primarily for students in 3rd–12th grade. Some lessons may also be appropriate for younger children depending on their maturity, self-awareness, and openness to discussing stuttering.
If you plan to use the program with younger students, I recommend previewing each video first to ensure the material is developmentally appropriate.
📚 How It Works
Each week, you and your student(s) can watch a video lesson together, discuss the topic, and complete a companion worksheet.
The videos and activities are designed to foster open, supportive conversations about stuttering—helping students better understand themselves and others who stutter.
Some topics go in-depth, so there’s no need to rush! Move at your own pace, allowing time for reflection and personal goal setting before continuing.
🗣 For SLPs and Educators
Stutter Squad Academy was created to make it easier for speech-language pathologists, teachers, and parents to guide meaningful discussions about stuttering. The program helps build understanding and confidence, taking the prep work out of planning educational sessions on this important topic.
⚠️ Disclaimer
Stutter Squad Academy is an educational resource only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace individualized speech therapy. Families and educators are encouraged to consult with a licensed speech-language pathologist for professional evaluation and treatment.
