About Me

Wendy Aguilar, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the creator of Stutter Squad Academy, an educational, video-based program designed to support the cognitive and emotional growth of school-aged children who stutter.

Wendy is a lifelong person who stutters, which inspired her passion for the field of speech-language pathology and her commitment to advocacy. She earned her undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton, where her dedication to stuttering awareness and support led to her being selected as the sole student member of The Center for Children Who Stutter. She later obtained her master’s degree from California State University, Northridge, and began her career as a school-based SLP in Moreno Valley, California.

Through her work in schools, Wendy recognized a significant need for accessible, child-friendly resources that help students understand stuttering, build confidence, and develop self-acceptance. This led her to create Stutter Squad Academy, a program that empowers children to explore stuttering in a supportive and encouraging way.

Wendy is also the author of the children’s book Stutterland, a faith-filled story that reminds kids who stutter that their voices have purpose — exactly as God created them to be. She has shared her personal story and professional insights at National Stuttering Association (NSA) chapter meetings and has spoken to students at California Baptist University, where she continues to advocate for greater awareness, compassion, and understanding of stuttering.
